Notice of defects may only be given to us in writing within one month of the date of delivery, stating the exact nature of the defects. If the goods are delivered in the fall or winter, when it is not possible to check the condition and workmanship of the sails, the warranty period begins on the following May 1st. The goods must be sent to us immediately and free of charge for inspection of the defects. If the complaint proves to be justified, we must be given the necessary time and opportunity to repair or replace the goods. If the repair or replacement delivery fails, the customer may demand a reduction in payment or withdraw from the contract. Further claims are excluded. Notice of defects can only be made to us in writing within one month from the time of delivery, with an exact description of the defects. If the goods are delivered in autumn or winter, when inspection of the sail trim and workmanship cannot take place, the warranty period shall begin on the following 1 May. The goods must be sent to us immediately and free of charge for inspection of the defects. As a matter of principle, value-added tax shall be charged if the customer intends to take the goods abroad personally. The value-added tax will only be refunded if a freight forwarder is involved in customs clearance at the border and we receive the stamped \u201cexport declaration\u201d (AE) and\/or a \u201cfreight forwarder\u2019s certificate\u201d for VAT purposes. A VAT-free invoice shall only be issued if the delivery is an export transaction from the outset. Under the relevant provisions, an export of items for watercraft is deemed fulfilled if:<br \/>\nthe recipient is a company or person with a permanent place of business or residence abroad and shipment is made by post, rail, or freight forwarder.
